Just two weeks after the primary election, Army Combat Veteran Cait Conley is surging, as Career Political Operative Mike Lawler and his boss, Donald Trump, sink further underwater.
OSSINING, NY – A new poll released today by House Majority PAC shows Army Combat Veteran and Democratic Nominee for NY-17 Cait Conley leading Mike Lawler 51% to 45%. The poll also shows Mike Lawler and Donald Trump desperately underwater, with Lawler’s favorability rating at 39% favorable to 55% unfavorable. Not far behind is Donald Trump, at 38%
favorable to 60% unfavorable.
This poll comes just as nearly 500,000 New Yorkers have been kicked off their healthcare because of Mike Lawler’s deciding vote on the One Big Beautiful Bill. Mike Lawler has voted 100% of the time with Donald Trump, and will continue to be a rubber stamp to President Trump.
“The voters of NY-17 are paying the price for Mike Lawler’s failure and putting his own political ambition ahead of Hudson Valley families,” said Cait Conley. “Whether it’s him stripping healthcare coverage away from thousands of people to give tax breaks to the wealthy or supporting a reckless war in Iran that is jacking up gas prices here at home, people in the Hudson Valley are ready for a new kind of leadership. This campaign is not about left versus right, but right versus wrong. Voters do not want more talking points,photo-ops, or excuses. They deserve results.
